Took a pause last week to gather my head together. On one of such days, I was reading a Francine Rivers book, again, when I used my own hands to enter what I did not understand.

If you follow her books, you’ll know that she adds review questions at the end of each of them to help readers digest the message of the book. The last question of this particular book was: “do you believe everyone can be redeemed?”

I had no sooner than seen this when I nodded in agreement and the A+ student in Christianesse in me showed herself. “Of course, everyone can be redeemed or forgiven. It is not always easy but every Christian should ensure they live free of hate and only forgiveness does this. The redemption plan of the cross touches every man and is the greatest miracle and blessing of all to see a forsaken person, lost in the depths of darkness become a new creature…”

Me: Lord, I checked my Bible and I did not see where Pharoah was forgiven. You drowned him. You. After you deported Sennacherib back to his father’s house, you still killed him. You see, there’s a time for everything. Time for forgiveness and time for judgement. Even your people, Israelites, when they messed up, you dealt with them very well…and added their descendants to it.

Me: Tor. You’re the boss🙂. Who am I? If you want to forgive Tinubu, forgive him. If you don’t want to, then don’t. It’s your business and your will is your will.

Me: Ooooh God! Leave me na. Shebi I already said that you hold the whole world in your hand and you can do whatever you want. Forgiveness is good. It’s a good plan. But it’s between you and him. Don’t drag other people into personal matters…
